Lam Thye shares knowledge on OSH

Star: PETALING JAYA: Occupational safety and health (OSH) advocate Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye has decided to share his knowledge of the issue with other Malaysians though his debut book, My Reflections On OSH.
The book, to be launched by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak today, is aimed at employers and workers, to educate them on the importance of OSH in order to create a safe work environment.
Lee, who is chairman of the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (Niosh), is also keen to promote issues pertaining to safety in schools and other learning institutions.
“The level of awareness among Malaysians regarding OSH is low, compared with people in the more developed countries,” Lee said, adding that the rate of Malaysians getting injured at the workplace was seven out of 1,000.
