Eight more docs to head for Indonesia

Star: KUALA LUMPUR: Peace Malaysia is despatching eight more doctors to help tend to injured victims of the earthquake in Yogyakarta.
Its patron Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said yesterday the doctors, who would be leaving for Yogyakarta on Wednesday, would be attached to the Bantul District Hospital, Nurul Hidayah Clinic and Seleman District General Hospital.
There are now four Peace Malaysia doctors and three medical assistants at these medical centres. Barisan Nasional Youth has sent 22 doctors and paramedics to these hospitals since last Sunday, Hishammuddin said in a statement here.
He said the Malaysian teams and volunteers worked under the auspices of the National Security Bureau.
“The cooperation and aid given by the Barisan Youth and Peace Malaysia signify the cordial relationship between Malaysia and Indonesia,” he said.
