No humans in Malaysia infected by bird flu

Star: KUALA LUMPUR: No humans have been affected by the H5N1 strain of avian flu found among chickens in Kampung Changkat Tualang in Perak, says Health Minister Datuk Dr Chua Soi Lek.
"I wish to stress that there have been no cases of bird flu among humans" in Malaysia, he told reporters on Friday.
"There should be no reason to get worried," he added.
Chua said the report of bird flu infection was incorrect and added that no doctor could have come to that conclusion without proper diagnostic tests.
And even if there was a suspicion of infection, the doctor would have hospitalised the patient for observation and informed higher authorities, he said.
