Drug testing for varsity students soon

With new students enrolling into the country's higher institutions of learning now, the Higher Education Ministry feels the time is right to test them for drugs.
“I feel this is a good time to do it because the new batches have enrolled and the second-year students are back in campus,” said minister Datuk Dr Shafie Mohd Salleh.
“It can even start next month,” he told reporters after launching the “Let’s Read and Fight Drugs” programme at the public library here yesterday.
