Malaysia will for the first time host the Hospital Management Asia (HMA) Conference here on Sept 29 and 30.
The conference, the fourth in the annual series, is expected to see the participation of some 350 hospital managers and executives from the Asia-Pacific region.
Senior executives from Malaysia who will speak at the conference include Pantai Holdings Bhd Support Services Division chief executive officer Azman Ibrahim, Healthtronics (M) Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Ashok Shah, Hospital Tapah director Dr Sukdershan Singh and KPMG Malaysia's Healthcare Industry Group head Dr Ian Tho.
Asian Hospital Federation president Datuk Dr Ridzwan Bakar said top practitioners and industry experts from all over the region would update delegates on a full range of professional solutions that could increase their productivity and improve the quality of their hospital services.
“Malaysian participants attending the annual HMA event will be able to sharpen their skills, increase their expertise and become inspired to provide a higher level of service excellence to their customers,” he said.
“They will also get a rare opportunity to network with fellow professionals and hospital suppliers from all over the region on their home turf.”
An integral feature of the conference is the Asian Hospital Management Awards, which recognise and honour Asian hospitals for outstanding and innovative projects and best practices.
