A seminar on health care services in Malaysia was held in Ha Noi on Aug. 2 with the attendance of more than 200 participants, including representatives of six hospitals and seven medical equipment companies from Malaysia.
The seminar, organised by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), the Association of Private Hospitals of Malaysia (APHM) and Viet Nam's Health and Planning and Investment Ministries, aims to promote the two countries' cooperation in health care.
Participants exchanged views on the world's medical progress in community-based health care. Representatives of Malaysian hospitals introduced to their Vietnamese colleagues new methods in hospital hygiene and waste management, and brain surgery. Experts in medical equipment production presented reports on modern medical equipment used in Malaysia and other countries.
During their stay in Viet Nam, the Malaysian medical experts also visited a number of hospitals in Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City to inquire into health care services in Viet Nam and establish relations between hospitals of the two countries.
