NST: KUALA LUMPUR: Two areas in Selangor recorded air pollutant index readings that were close to the "unhealthy" level.
Data released by the Department of Environment showed Kuala Selangor’s was 95 while Port Klang was 91.
Levels of between 101 and 200 are deemed unhealthy.
Kuala Lumpur was 69, despite a brief shower in the afternoon while Tanjung Malim, which recorded an unhealthy 108 on Sunday evening, improved to a moderate reading of 77 yesterday evening.
Malaysian Meteorological Services Department principal assistant director Wong Teck Kiong said Malaysians should expect drier weather and reduced visibility until next week because of the change in wind direction from south-easterly to south-westerly.
Visibility in Langkawi, Butterworth, Alor Star and Sepang was recorded at more than 10km yesterday.
